Important Information
Covid 19 Practice Info
At Melbourne Orthopaedic Group we are dedicated to providing excellence in Orthopaedic care for our patients. We are also dedicated to providing a healthy and safe work environment for both our patients and staff.
In the current and evolving COVID-19 pandemic, Melbourne Orthopaedic Group will continue to provide ongoing care to our current and past patients, as well as the opportunity for consultations with new patients via telehealth.
Face to Face Consultations are available.
At MOG there is:
- temperature screening upon entry
- appropriate social distancing
- Face masks are worn by all staff, and offered to Patients.
In line with the advice of DHHS:
- Melbourne Orthopaedic Group is available for trauma & emergency patients.
- Elective Surgery is currently ON HOLD.
Patients requiring medical treatment in Melbourne can still travel into and out of locked down areas.
Regarding patient consultations, face to face appointments carry significant risk due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the increasing incidence of community spread of the disease.
We have chosen to restrict face to face consulting only to those deemed to be essential, in order to minimise contact and maintain the principles of social distancing as defined by the DHHS.
All of our surgeons will be undertaking telephone consultations and telehealth consultations where possible, to provide continuity of treatment for our patients.
Telehealth consulting (via Internet) is also available for new patient referrals, so that a management plan can be devised and partially implemented for patients seeking an opinion and treatment.
“We at MOG wish everyone good health at this difficult time”.
Mr Paul Rice
Chairman Melbourne Group
